Yamoransa Model
The Yamoransa Model Labs Program, a pioneering initiative funded by the Helping Africa Foundation (HAF) and managed by IMPLEMENTERS (IMP), is set to host the fourth edition of the Annual Impact Roundtable Discussion (AIRTAD) and Robotics Competition. The highly anticipated event will take place from February 22 to 26, 2025, under the theme “The Yamoransa Model Impact Year: Scaling the Successes of Bridging Educational Gaps with Technology.”
Since 2016, the Yamoransa Model (YM) Labs have played a crucial role in expanding access to Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and STEAM education in underserved communities across Ghana and beyond. AIRTAD serves as both a celebration of these remarkable achievements and a platform to explore future opportunities in STEAM education.
This year’s event will feature an exciting lineup of activities, including preliminary robotics competitions, roundtable discussions, exhibitions of student projects, and a grand finale showcasing the best of Ghana’s young innovators.
The competition will commence with preliminary rounds on February 22 and 24 at the Academic City University, where students from various YM Labs will showcase their robotics skills. The main event, scheduled for February 25 and 26 at the Cedi Conference Center, University of Ghana, will feature high-level discussions, project exhibitions, and networking opportunities with key policymakers and industry leaders.
A key highlight of the event will be a guest lecture on the ethical considerations of AI in education, as well as lightning talks and an awards ceremony recognizing the most innovative student projects.
