This prestigious accolade, presented during the Sustainable Social Investment (SSI) Awards on November 15, 2024, underscores his exceptional leadership in advancing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) initiatives across underserved communities in Africa.
The recognition highlights Mr Prebbie’s visionary approach to leveraging STEM as a catalyst for sustainable development. Under his leadership, IMPLEMENTERS has made remarkable strides in equipping youth and communities with the tools and skills necessary to thrive in the 21st-century economy. From establishing ICT resource labs to spearheading vocational training programs, his efforts have consistently empowered individuals to achieve their potential while contributing to Africa’s socio-economic growth.
Ahead of the awards ceremony, Mr Prebbie was a panel member at the Strategic ESG & Sustainability Impact Summit on November 13, 2024. In a compelling discussion on “Social Impact, Corporate Responsibility – Beyond Environmental Sustainability,” he delivered a thought-provoking address on the future of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). “CSR is beyond bags of rice and sugar,” Mr. Prebbie asserted, emphasizing the need for long-term, systemic solutions over one-time charity efforts. He challenged businesses to align their CSR initiatives with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and create strategies that address deep-rooted societal challenges.
