On Friday August 12, 2022, Implementers executed a health project for the Kafui Prebbie Foundation (KPF) at the Nyame Dua Children’s home to commemorate the birthday celebration of the founder, Kafui Prebbie.

Towards achieving the Kafui Prebbie Foundation’s goal of promoting access to basic health care, the foundation contacted IMPLEMENTERS to undertake a health project that would advance access to quality health care opportunities for underprivileged children and youth, as one of the pillars of the organization.

Through our meticulous needs assessment process, we identified Nyame Dua Children’s Home in Ashaley Botwe as an ideal place to execute such a progressive initiative. In the last two years, the facility under the care of Mr. Paul Anaba has not had the required support to ensure children in the orphanage have access to quality and affordable health care. Due to this challenge, the Kafui Prebbie Foundation agreed to support the orphanage with the registration, replacement and renewal of National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) cards of all members, including the carers at the Children’s Home.

Also, in furtherance of the already existing relationship and support KFP gives to the Methodist Rafiki Satellite Village in Winneba, the Kafui Prebbie Foundation, this year supported them again with the registration, replacement and renewal of NHIS cards. This is to ensure that the support given to these orphanages are sustainable.

As social project managers, we are excited about the execution of this fulfilling initiative that would help about 200 underprivileged kids and their carers to have access to quality, affordable and inclusive health care.
