As part of its mission to broaden its impact and drive sustainable development, IMPLEMENTERS has launched the “IMPLEMENTERS STRATEGIC SECTOR RESEARCH (ISSR)” initiative. This forward-looking program is designed to identify sector-specific challenges, explore innovative solutions, and develop impactful interventions across Education, Employability, Climate Change, and Agriculture for 2025 and beyond.
IMPLEMENTERS has a proven track record of creating transformative programs within these sectors. In Education, initiatives like the Annual Impact Roundtable Discussion (AIRTAD) and Robotics Competition and the Yamoransa Model Labs Program have equipped students and communities with innovative learning tools and resources, fostering digital literacy and technical skills. In the Climate Change space, programs such as the Ghana Recycling Project and the Tree Planting Initiative have contributed significantly to environmental conservation and sustainability efforts, addressing pressing ecological challenges.
The ISSR initiative kicked off with a session on the Employability sector, held on December 13, 2024, at the Youth Opportunity & Transformation in Africa (YOTA) Skillshub. Expertly chaired by Maxwell Beganim, Regional Coordinator for Open Knowledge Foundation, Anglophone Africa Hub, the session brought together key stakeholders and thought leaders to tackle youth unemployment and skills development challenges.
- Prince Ansah (MPhil, PhD), Country Director, and Valerie Kplorm Aku Nutakor, Programs Manager at CDKN, who facilitated breakout sessions identifying needs, gaps, and innovative interventions.
- Nathan Agriwie, Program Manager at YOTA, who presented findings from the YOTA-Ghana Youth Barometer 2024, offering critical insights into job creation and entrepreneurship opportunities.
