Climate Forward Summit

Across Africa and the globe, the realities of climate change are becoming impossible to ignore. From devastating floods and droughts to declining agricultural productivity and rising energy demands, the urgency for climate resilience has never been greater. Ghana and many nations on the continent stand at a critical juncture where bold ideas, innovative solutions, and coordinated action are needed to secure a sustainable future for both people and the planet.

There is growing momentum around climate innovation, from renewable energy and green building to waste recycling and ecosystem restoration. Yet, progress often happens in silos, with limited alignment between stakeholders. It is this urgency that has given rise to the Climate Forward Summit (CFS). CFS is an annual multi-stakeholder forum convened by IMPLEMENTERS to accelerate Africa’s response to climate change through evidence-based dialogue, innovation, and collaboration. The Summit creates a platform where government institutions, private sector actors, development partners, academia, civil society organisations, and young climate advocates come together to explore pathways for climate resilience and sustainable growth.

What the Summit Seeks to Do

1. Highlight the pressing climate challenges facing Ghana and Africa, from energy transition and sustainable agriculture to urban resilience and green finance.
2. Explore the intersection of innovation and sustainability, showcasing how technology, data, and local knowledge can drive climate-smart solutions.
3. Facilitate cross-sector collaboration, connecting government bodies, businesses, and civil society to create integrated and scalable climate initiatives.
4. Empower youth and communities, ensuring that those most affected by the climate crisis are also part of the conversation and solution-building process.
5. Generate actionable recommendations and partnerships that can be implemented beyond the Summit, shaping policy, guiding investment, and supporting long-term resilience.

The Climate Forward Summit reflects IMPLEMENTERS’ ongoing commitment to climate action and sustainability, one of our key focus areas under our development mandate. Through this Summit, we aim to scale our efforts and strengthen the ecosystem of actors working toward a greener, more resilient Africa.
